The US MOTORS WDP1S2AHC is a three-phase, energy-efficient AC motor built for demanding industrial and commercial applications. Rated at 1 horsepower and 1725 RPM, it operates on 208 to 230 volts or 460 volts at 60 Hz, making it suitable for single-voltage or dual-voltage installations. The totally enclosed non-ventilated (TENV) enclosure protects internal components from moisture and contaminants, which is critical in washdown environments. Insulation Class F rating allows the motor to handle elevated operating temperatures, while an 85.50 percent full-load efficiency rating keeps energy consumption in check. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this unit.
This motor is designed for washdown duty applications where water exposure and cleaning agents are regularly present, such as food processing equipment, pumps, conveyors, and commercial kitchen or sanitation systems. The 56HC frame with base and C-Face dual mount configuration allows flexible installation directly to driven equipment or onto a base plate. Reversible rotation gives installers additional flexibility when matching the motor to specific driven loads. It is suited for both residential and light commercial equipment where a compact, enclosed motor is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for 56HC frame TENV three-phase AC motors in washdown and general-duty applications. The Dayton cross-reference part number is 4LW78.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. Disconnect and lock out all power to the circuit before mounting or wiring the motor. Verify supply voltage matches the nameplate voltage selection before energizing. Confirm shaft alignment and mounting fastener engagement before returning the driven equipment to service.
