The US MOTORS USMOTOR-T1C1JC is a 1 HP, single-phase, totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) general purpose motor built for continuous industrial duty. It runs at 3600 RPM and operates on 115 or 208-230 volts at 60 Hz, drawing 13.6 amps at 115V or 6.9-6.8 amps at 208-230V. The rolled steel NEMA 56C frame houses Class B insulation and ball bearings, giving it solid thermal and mechanical performance in clean, dry environments. A keyed shaft measuring 5/8 inches in diameter by 1 7/8 inches in length accommodates standard drive components. The 1.15 service factor provides a modest continuous overload margin. This motor is manufactured by Nidec Motor Corporation and carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty.
This motor is suited for light commercial and industrial applications where a C-Face, rigid base mount is required. Common installations include pumps, air compressors, conveyors, and blowers. The TEFC enclosure keeps internal windings protected from incidental dust and moisture contact, making it appropriate for mechanical rooms, utility areas, and equipment rooms in both residential and commercial settings. The motor is reversible, which provides flexibility during installation. Wiring configuration is shown on the motor nameplate for field reference during hookup.
Designed as a general purpose C-Face replacement motor for NEMA 56C frame applications including pumps, conveyors, air compressors, and blowers requiring a single-phase, 1 HP, 3600 RPM TEFC motor.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified motor technician in accordance with NEC requirements. Disconnect and lock out all power to the circuit before mounting, wiring, or servicing the motor. Confirm supply voltage and ampacity match the motor nameplate before energizing. Refer to the wiring diagram on the motor nameplate for correct voltage tap selection when wiring for 115V versus 208-230V operation.
