The US MOTORS tp-c33-mhp2-8 is a universal multi-horsepower fractional condenser fan motor designed for residential and light commercial air conditioning condenser units. Rated at 825 RPM and operating on 208-230 volts single phase, it draws 2.4 amps and covers a 1/3 to 1/5 horsepower range, making it adaptable across a wide range of condenser fan applications. The motor ships with a 7.5 MFD 440-volt capacitor and uses a Dynamic Self Aligning bearing for reliable long-term operation. It mounts in any position, giving technicians flexibility during installation or replacement service calls.
This motor is suited for residential split-system condensers and packaged units where a fractional-horsepower condenser fan motor is required. The side shell mount is pre-drilled to accept Rheem mounting plates, and the end plate is drilled to accept both Rheem and Trane mount configurations. That factory drilling reduces field modification time significantly. Licensed HVAC technicians performing condenser fan motor replacements will find the reversible rotation direction and 48-frame sizing consistent with common OEM condenser motor specifications in the field.
Pre-drilled mounting configurations are compatible with Rheem and Trane condenser fan motor mounting arrangements. The 48-frame sizing and multi-horsepower rating make this motor suitable as an OEM-style replacement across a range of residential condenser units requiring a fractional-horsepower condenser fan motor.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all power to the condensing unit before removing the existing motor or capacitor. Verify rotation direction matches the original motor before energizing the unit, as reversing leads changes shaft rotation. Always replace the run capacitor if the original capacitor shows any signs of bulging, leakage, or capacity drift outside rated tolerance.
