The US MOTORS 6174 is a single-phase permanent split capacitor (PSC) AC motor built with a totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) enclosure and a rigid mount configuration. Rated at 1/2 horsepower and 1725 RPM nameplate speed, it operates on 100 to 120 volts or 200 to 240 volts at 60 or 50 Hz, making it suitable for both domestic and international voltage supply. The 56 frame size and ball bearing construction are standard fitment for a wide range of light commercial and residential mechanical equipment. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors install this motor as a direct drive or belt drive replacement in pumps, fans, and related rotating equipment.
This motor is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a durable, enclosed motor is required to resist dust and moisture ingress. Its reversible rotation allows installation flexibility depending on the driven equipment. The Class B insulation rating and 1.25 service factor provide a margin for continuous-duty cycles common in HVAC air handlers, exhaust fans, and pump assemblies.
