The US ALUMINUM CSCT3612L3 is a cased horizontal slab evaporator coil rated for 2.5 to 3 tons of cooling capacity and designed specifically for use with R-32 refrigerant. The all-aluminum construction uses rifled aluminum tubing and enhanced aluminum fins to optimize heat transfer efficiency. A factory-installed thermal expansion valve (TXV) comes standard, making it suitable for both cooling-only and heat pump applications. The coil measures 39.5 inches wide by 12 inches deep by 25 inches tall and weighs 53 pounds. An integrated R-32 refrigerant leak sensor is embedded in the airflow path; if a leak is detected, the sensor interrupts the cooling and heating demand while keeping the blower running. Licensed HVAC technicians install this coil in split-system air handler or furnace plenum applications.
The CSCT3612L3 is intended for residential and light-commercial horizontal installations where floor space or clearance constraints call for a slab-style coil orientation. The unit supports left or right horizontal positioning, giving installers flexibility in tight mechanical closets or attic installations. The plenum opening measures 30 inches wide by 21 inches high, which should be confirmed against the existing air handler or furnace cabinet before ordering. It is imperative that this R-32 indoor coil be matched with a compatible R-32 outdoor unit. The coil ships with a standardized copper suction tube stub length of 78 inches and a liquid line stub of 38 inches.
The CSCT3612L3 is an R-32 cased horizontal slab evaporator coil and must be paired with a compatible R-32 outdoor condensing unit or heat pump. The coil is covered under a 10-Year Parts Limited Warranty when installed with a qualifying Goodman brand system. Consult the warranty document for full terms and matching requirements.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer installation instructions. Shut down and lock out the electrical supply and recover any existing refrigerant charge before opening the refrigerant circuit. Because this coil uses R-32, which is an A2L mildly flammable refrigerant, verify that all system components and the installation environment comply with applicable codes governing A2L refrigerant use. Do not mix R-32 with other refrigerant types, and confirm outdoor unit R-32 compatibility before commissioning.
