The UPONOR Q4757555 is a ProPEX reducing tee designed for PEX piping systems in residential and light commercial plumbing applications. It transitions from a 3/4-inch run to two 1/2-inch branch connections, making it a practical fitting wherever the main line steps down to serve individual fixtures or zones. The body is molded from 20% glass-reinforced polymer, which delivers the rigidity and chemical resistance required for potable water distribution. Licensed plumbers and hydronic system installers use this fitting as a standard component when roughing in PEX supply lines.
This reducing tee is suited for residential hot and cold water distribution systems, radiant heating supply and return manifold branches, and light commercial plumbing where PEX is the specified pipe material. The ProPEX end style requires a ProPEX expansion tool and the corresponding PEX rings or expansion sleeves for proper assembly. It is intended for use with PEX-a pipe that meets the dimensional requirements for the ProPEX connection system.
Designed as an OEM-style ProPEX fitting for use with PEX-a piping systems that utilize the ProPEX expansion connection method at 3/4-inch and 1/2-inch nominal sizes.
Installation requires a calibrated ProPEX expansion tool and the correct size PEX expansion rings or engineered sleeves — do not substitute crimp or clamp tooling with ProPEX fittings. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing piping. Work must comply with applicable local plumbing codes and is typically performed by a licensed plumber. Allow expanded connections to recover fully before pressurizing the system.
