The UPONOR Q4757550 is a ProPEX reducing tee fitting designed for PEX water distribution systems in residential and light commercial plumbing installations. It connects two 3/4-inch runs to a 1/2-inch branch, allowing a single main line to feed a reduced-size outlet without additional adapters. The fitting is molded from 20% glass-reinforced polymer, giving it the rigidity and pressure tolerance needed for potable water supply piping. Licensed plumbers install this fitting using a ProPEX expansion tool, which expands the PEX tubing end before the fitting is inserted and the ring recovers for a secure mechanical connection.
This reducing tee is suited for potable hot and cold water supply lines in residential new construction and retrofit plumbing projects. The 3/4 x 3/4 x 1/2-inch configuration is commonly used where a main trunk line steps down to feed individual fixture branch lines such as lavatory faucets, toilets, or ice makers. The ProPEX end style is compatible with UPONOR ProPEX expansion-style connections and requires the appropriate PEX-a tubing and expansion rings for proper installation.
Designed for use with ProPEX expansion-style PEX-a tubing and compatible ProPEX expansion rings in 3/4-inch and 1/2-inch sizes as part of a UPONOR ProPEX plumbing system.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber following local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing piping. A calibrated ProPEX expansion tool and the correct size expansion rings are required for proper ring recovery and joint integrity. Do not use this fitting with crimp-style or clamp-style PEX connections.
