The UPONOR Q4755050 is a 1/2-inch PEX tee fitting manufactured from polysulfone, a high-performance thermoplastic known for its heat resistance and long-term durability in potable water systems. This tee is designed for use in domestic plumbing applications where PEX tubing is joined at a branch connection. The polysulfone construction resists chlorine degradation and handles the temperature and pressure demands typical of residential and light commercial hot and cold water distribution. Licensed plumbers install this fitting as part of a Uponor expansion-style or ProPEX system, depending on the connection method specified for the job.
This fitting is suited for domestic water supply systems in residential construction and retrofit plumbing projects. It is used wherever a 1/2-inch branch takeoff is needed in a PEX distribution line, such as at fixture supply drops, manifold branch lines, or in-wall rough-in work. The polysulfone material makes it appropriate for both hot and cold water service within potable water systems.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use in 1/2-inch PEX domestic plumbing systems where polysulfone tee fittings are specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM F877 or F2023 standards for PEX systems. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before making any connections. Use only the expansion or clamp tooling specified for the connection type to ensure a leak-free joint. Do not over-bend PEX tubing near the fitting, as kinking near the connection can compromise long-term joint integrity.
