The UPONOR Q4751511 is a reducing tee fitting designed for ProPEX expansion-style PEX piping systems. It provides a branch connection with a 1-1/2 inch run, reducing to 1 inch on the branch and outlet, making it suitable for transitioning flow distribution within a larger hydronic or plumbing circuit. Constructed from modified polyphenylsulfone (MPPSU), this fitting delivers high-temperature and pressure resistance appropriate for potable water and radiant heating applications. Licensed plumbers and hydronic system installers are the primary trade professionals who work with this fitting.
This reducing tee is used in residential and light commercial ProPEX plumbing and hydronic heating installations where a main line needs to branch off at a reduced diameter. The ProPEX end style requires a ProPEX expansion tool and the corresponding PEX expansion rings to complete the connection. It is commonly installed in manifold branch runs, domestic hot and cold water distribution, and radiant floor heating supply and return circuits.
Designed as an OEM-style ProPEX fitting for use with Uponor PEX-a tubing and compatible ProPEX expansion rings in residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic heating systems.
Installation requires a calibrated ProPEX expansion tool and the correct-size PEX expansion rings rated for each port diameter. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing piping. Follow local plumbing codes and the applicable International Plumbing Code (IPC) requirements for PEX fitting installations. Allow the expanded fitting to contract fully onto the tubing before pressurizing the system.
