The UPONOR Q4751311 is a reducing tee fitting designed for use in ProPEX expansion-style PEX piping systems. Manufactured from modified polyphenylsulfone (MPPSU), this fitting connects a 1-1/4-inch main run to 1-inch branch and run outlets, allowing plumbers and mechanical contractors to step down pipe size within a distribution system. The ProPEX end style requires a compatible PEX expansion tool and rings to create a secure, leak-resistant joint. This tee is domestically manufactured and suited for potable water and hydronic heating applications where reliable flow reduction is required.
This fitting is installed in residential and light commercial plumbing and radiant heating systems where a main supply line must branch off at a reduced size. Typical applications include manifold feed lines, domestic hot and cold water distribution, and hydronic panel systems. The ProPEX connection method is widely used in new construction and remodel work due to its cold-expansion joint integrity and freeze-damage resistance.
Designed as an OEM-style ProPEX expansion fitting for use in 1-1/4-inch to 1-inch reducing tee applications within ProPEX-compatible PEX piping systems.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or mechanical contractors familiar with the ProPEX expansion method. Shut off and depressurize the water supply or hydronic loop before cutting into any existing piping. Use a calibrated ProPEX expansion tool sized for each outlet diameter along with the correct PEX expansion rings. Follow all applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM F1960 standards for expansion-style PEX fittings.
