The UPONOR Q4751150 is a reducing tee fitting designed for use in ProPEX expansion-style PEX piping systems. It connects two 1-inch runs while reducing the branch outlet to 1/2 inch, making it well suited for hydronic distribution, domestic water supply, and radiant heating branch takeoffs. The fitting is molded from 20 percent glass-reinforced polymer, which provides increased stiffness and pressure resistance compared to standard unfilled polymer fittings. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors install this fitting using the Uponor ProPEX expansion tool and matching PEX rings.
This tee is used in residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic systems where a ProPEX end connection is specified. The 1 x 1 x 1/2 inch reducing configuration is common in main-and-branch layouts where a full-size supply line feeds a smaller domestic hot or cold water branch, or a radiant heating circuit takeoff. It is intended for use with ProPEX-compatible PEX-a pipe and Uponor ProPEX expansion rings.
Designed for use with Uponor ProPEX PEX-a pipe systems using 1-inch and 1/2-inch ProPEX expansion rings and an Uponor-compatible ProPEX expansion tool.
Installation requires a calibrated ProPEX expansion tool and the correct size ProPEX rings for each connection port. Shut off and depressurize the water supply or hydronic system before cutting into existing lines. This fitting is not compatible with crimp or clamp PEX connection methods. Work on potable water systems must comply with applicable local plumbing codes and be performed by a licensed plumber where required by jurisdiction.
