The UPONOR Q2261057 is a flow-through tee fitting designed for use in ProPEX expansion-style PEX plumbing systems. Constructed from polysulfone, this tee connects a 1-inch main run to a 3/4-inch branch takeoff, allowing continuous flow through the main line while supplying a branch circuit. Licensed plumbers install this fitting in residential and light commercial domestic water distribution systems where PEX tubing is specified. The polysulfone material offers resistance to high temperatures and chlorinated water, making it well suited for potable water applications.
This fitting is used in domestic hot and cold water distribution systems that use the ProPEX expansion method. The flow-through configuration supports trunk-and-branch or home-run distribution layouts where maintaining full main-line flow is a priority. It is appropriate for new construction and retrofit installations in residential plumbing systems. The 1 x 3/4 inch sizing is a common configuration for main supply lines feeding branch drops to fixtures or fixture groups.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for ProPEX expansion PEX plumbing systems used in domestic water distribution applications.
Installation requires a licensed plumber and a ProPEX expansion tool sized for the applicable pipe diameter. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before cutting into any existing line. Expansion rings must be fully seated on the PEX tubing before expanding, and the fitting must be inserted immediately after expansion while the ring is still pliable. All work should conform to local plumbing codes and the applicable edition of the IPC or UPC.
