The UPONOR LF4785025 is a ProPEX lead-free angle ice maker valve designed to connect PEX tubing to a refrigerator or ice maker water supply line. It features a 1/2-inch PEX inlet and a 1/4-inch OD compression outlet in an angle configuration, making it suited for tight-space installations behind refrigerators and under counters. The brass body construction offers durability and corrosion resistance. Rated to 250 psi, this valve meets lead-free compliance requirements. Licensed plumbers install this fitting as part of a domestic cold-water supply branch serving an ice maker or similar appliance.
This valve is used in residential and light commercial plumbing applications where PEX tubing serves an appliance water connection. The angle-stop configuration allows the supply to be shut off at the valve without interrupting the main line, which is standard practice when servicing ice makers or replacing refrigerators. It is installed on a 1/2-inch PEX branch line and terminates in a 1/4-inch OD compression fitting that connects directly to the ice maker supply tube.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation valve for residential PEX plumbing systems supplying ice makers or similar appliances requiring a 1/4-inch OD compression outlet connection.
Installation requires an Uponor ProPEX expansion tool to properly expand the PEX tubing and seat the fitting ring before connecting to the valve inlet. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before installation. Follow IPC and local plumbing code requirements for lead-free fittings in potable water systems. Verify the 1/4-inch compression connection to the appliance supply tube is tightened to finger-tight plus a quarter turn to avoid over-compression.
