The UPONOR LF4517575 is a 3/4-inch PEX-to-copper adapter fitting manufactured from lead-free brass for use in potable water systems. This adapter creates a transition between PEX tubing and copper pipe, allowing installers to connect ProPEX or compatible PEX distribution lines directly to copper sweat connections. The lead-free brass construction meets drinking water standards applicable to residential and commercial plumbing installations. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting during new construction, remodel, or system retrofit work where a PEX-to-copper transition is required.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial potable water distribution systems where PEX tubing meets existing or new copper pipe runs. It is commonly used at manifold-to-branch transitions, at fixture rough-ins, or wherever a PEX distribution system interfaces with copper supply lines. The sweat-end connection allows the copper side to be soldered using standard methods, while the PEX end accepts an expansion or clamp connection per the installer's system design.
Designed as an OEM-style transition fitting for 3/4-inch PEX-to-copper applications in residential and commercial potable water plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before beginning work. The copper sweat end must be deburred, cleaned, and fluxed before soldering; keep flame away from the PEX end of the fitting during the soldering operation to prevent damage to the tubing. Follow the PEX system manufacturer's instructions for the expansion or clamp connection on the PEX side.
