The UPONOR lf4505050 is a ProPEX male sweat copper fitting adapter made from lead-free C69300 brass. It transitions PEX tubing to copper pipe using a ProPEX expansion connection on one end and a male sweat (soldered) copper connection on the other. The adapter measures 1.39 inches in length and 0.74 inches in height and weighs 0.06 pounds. It is manufactured to ASTM F877 and F1960 material specifications and carries NSF lead-free compliance markings, meeting ANSI/NSF 14/61 standards and exceeding the requirements of the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act. Licensed plumbers install this fitting as part of complete lead-free supply systems from inlet to fixture.
This adapter is rated for use in hot and cold domestic potable water systems and a range of hydronic and specialty applications including radiant heating and cooling, snow and ice melting, permafrost protection, and turf conditioning systems. The ProPEX end connects directly to hePEX plus tubing or AquaPEX tubing. It is sold in packaging quantities of 25 units, making it practical for new construction and remodel projects requiring multiple transition points between PEX and copper.
Designed for use with Uponor hePEX plus tubing and AquaPEX tubing on the ProPEX end, with the male sweat end connecting to standard 1/2-inch copper pipe via soldering. Approved for potable water, plumbing, radiant heating and cooling, snow and ice melting, permafrost protection, and turf conditioning systems per ASTM F877/F1960 and applicable plumbing codes.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes including IPC and UPC. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before beginning work. The ProPEX end requires a compatible ProPEX expansion tool; the male sweat copper end is soldered using standard plumbing torch and solder practices per local code. Do not overtighten or force connections during assembly.
