The UPONOR LF4237575 is a 90-degree drop-ear elbow designed for PEX plumbing installations where a fixed mounting point and a directional change are required in a single fitting. Constructed from lead-free brass, this fitting connects a 3/4-inch ProPEX expansion end to a 3/4-inch female NPT (FNPT) threaded port. The drop-ear flange provides two screw holes for securing the fitting to a wall or backing plate, making it a standard choice for shower arms, tub spouts, and wall-mount fixture supply connections. Installation requires a compatible ProPEX expansion tool and rings. The lead-free brass construction meets low-lead compliance requirements for potable water systems.
This elbow is used in residential and light commercial PEX plumbing systems where a 3/4-inch supply line terminates at a wall-mounted fixture. Typical applications include shower valve supplies, tub filler connections, and wall-mount lavatory or utility faucet rough-in. The FNPT outlet accepts standard threaded pipe or fittings, giving the installer flexibility at the fixture connection point. The integral ear flanges allow the fitting to be fastened directly to blocking or a structural backer before drywall installation, locking the supply outlet in position.
Designed as an OEM-style ProPEX fitting for use in 3/4-inch PEX-A plumbing systems requiring a wall-mounted 90-degree transition to a female NPT threaded connection.
Installation of this fitting is typically performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and local authority requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before beginning work. Use the correct size ProPEX expansion tool and matching expansion rings to make the PEX connection — do not use crimp or clamp tooling on ProPEX-style fittings. Fasten the ear flanges securely to solid wood blocking or a listed backer plate before enclosing the wall to prevent movement at the fixture connection.
