The UPONOR lf4235038 is a lead-free brass ProPEX Drop Ear 90-degree elbow designed for connecting 1/2-inch PEX-a tubing to 3/8-inch female threaded pipe in potable water and plumbing systems. Fabricated from C69300 lead-free brass per ASTM F877/F1960, this fitting delivers a rigid 90-degree transition while the integrated mounting ear allows the fitting to be secured directly to wall framing or blocking. The ProPEX cold expansion connection method requires no torches, glues, solvents, or gauges, producing a strong and durable mechanical joint. At 1.7 inches in overall length and 0.27 pounds, it installs in tight spaces and ships in quantities of 25 per package.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial potable water distribution, particularly at fixture drop locations where PEX-a tubing terminates into a threaded supply stub-out. The drop ear configuration supports mounting at the wall surface, making it a standard choice for lavatory, kitchen, and fixture supply installations where tubing must transition from behind-wall runs to a fixed threaded connection point. Compatible with Uponor ProPEX Out-of-the-Wall Support System components and lead-free brass fittings for a complete lead-free solution from inlet to faucet.
Designed for use with Uponor ProPEX PEX-a tubing systems. Compatible with Uponor ProPEX Out-of-the-Wall Support System and lead-free brass ProPEX fittings. Meets ANSI/NSF 14/61, CAN/CSA B137.5, ICC ESR 1099, HUD MR 1269, IPC, UPC, NSPC, and NPC standards.
Installation of ProPEX fittings requires a ProPEX expansion tool and the appropriate ring; always verify ring size matches tubing before expanding. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before beginning any fitting work. This fitting is intended for installation by licensed plumbers in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code where adopted. Do not over-tighten the threaded female connection; use appropriate thread sealant or tape rated for potable water service.
