The UPONOR F4260500 is a 300-foot coil of 1/2-inch AquaPEX tubing manufactured using the Engel process, also known as PEX-a. This method of crosslinking produces a flexible, shape-memory tubing that is widely regarded as the most flexible grade of crosslinked polyethylene available. The tubing has a 0.475-inch inside diameter and a 0.625-inch outside diameter, making it compatible with standard 1/2-inch PEX fittings and expansion-style connections. It is produced domestically and color-coded white and blue for easy system identification in potable water and hydronic applications.
AquaPEX PEX-a tubing is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems, radiant floor heating, and hydronic distribution. The 300-foot coil length suits larger rough-in jobs, home-run manifold systems, and radiant panel layouts where continuous runs minimize connection points. Licensed plumbers and hydronic heating contractors install this tubing in both new construction and retrofit applications. Its flexibility allows routing through framing, under slabs, and through insulation without requiring heat or special bending tools.
Designed for use with standard 1/2-inch PEX expansion fittings and ProPEX-style connections used in residential and commercial potable water plumbing, radiant heating, and hydronic distribution systems.
Installation of PEX tubing should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before making any connections. Use only manufacturer-approved expansion or crimp tools and fittings rated for the tubing outside diameter. Avoid direct contact with open flame or extreme heat sources during installation.
