The UPONOR F4240750 is a 3/4-inch nominal AquaPEX crosslinked polyethylene (PEX-a) coil tubing manufactured using the Engel process, which produces a high-degree cross-link for superior flexibility and shape memory. The coil measures 100 feet in length with an inside diameter of 0.671 inches and an outside diameter of 0.875 inches. This PEX-a tubing is produced domestically and carries a white and red color designation. It is used by licensed plumbers and hydronic heating installers in potable water distribution and radiant heating systems where flexible, reliable tubing is required.
This tubing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing rough-in, potable water supply runs, radiant floor heating loops, and hydronic distribution manifold connections. The 100-foot coil format works well for long uninterrupted runs that reduce the need for fittings. Its PEX-a construction allows the tubing to be expanded for use with compatible expansion-style fittings, making it a standard choice for new construction and remodel plumbing projects.
Designed as an OEM-style PEX-a coil tubing for use with expansion-fitting-based plumbing and radiant heating systems that accept 3/4-inch nominal PEX-a tubing.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM F876/F877 standards. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into any existing line. Use only expansion tools and fittings rated for PEX-a tubing at this nominal size. Avoid kinking the tubing during uncoiling and do not expose it to prolonged direct UV light prior to installation.
