The UPONOR f2060750 is a 3/4 inch PEX-a AquaPEX tubing coil in red, spanning 300 feet per coil, designed for use in hot and cold potable water distribution systems as well as hydronic heating applications. Manufactured to the PEX-a standard using the Engel method, this tubing carries ratings from the Hydrostatic Stress Board of PPI: 200 degrees F at 80 psi, 180 degrees F at 100 psi, and 73.4 degrees F at 160 psi maximum working pressure. The non-oxygen-barrier construction makes it suitable for closed hydronic loops only where no ferrous corrodible components are present or where any ferrous components are fully isolated. Licensed plumbers and hydronic heating installers are the primary trade audience for this product.
This tubing coil is used in residential and light commercial potable water supply lines, hot and cold distribution manifold systems, and hydronic radiant heating systems where system design excludes unprotected ferrous components. The red color coding assists in quick identification of hot-side supply runs during rough-in. It is also listed for use in Wirsbo AQUASAFE fire sprinkler systems. The 300-foot coil format suits larger rough-in jobs, reducing the number of coil changes on the job site. Compatible fitting systems include Expansion PEX, Clamp, PEX Press, Push Fit, PEX Compression, and Crimp connections.

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified hydronic heating technician in accordance with local plumbing codes and IFGC or IPC requirements where applicable. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before making any connections. This tubing does not include an oxygen diffusion barrier and must not be used in open hydronic systems containing unprotected ferrous components. Follow the fitting manufacturer instructions precisely for whichever connection method is used, as improper expansion ring sizing or crimp ferrule seating are common sources of leaks.
