The UPONOR F1040250 is a 1/4-inch nominal AquaPEX cross-linked polyethylene tubing supplied in a 100-foot coil. It features an inner diameter of 0.241 inches and an outer diameter of 3/8 inches. PEX tubing is produced through a high-temperature expansion process that gives the material shape memory, allowing it to flex around obstacles and resist cracking under freeze conditions. This white coil is designed for use in potable water distribution, radiant heating, and other fluid-transfer applications where flexible, corrosion-resistant tubing is required. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors are the primary installers of this product in both residential and light commercial settings.
The F1040250 is suited for tight-space plumbing runs, point-of-use supply lines, and low-flow distribution branches where 1/4-inch nominal sizing is appropriate. Its 100-foot coil length provides enough material to complete multiple branch runs from a single coil. The white color designation helps identify tubing purpose in systems where color-coded installations are used to differentiate hot, cold, and other supply lines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation tubing for residential and light commercial plumbing and radiant systems using 1/4-inch nominal PEX fittings and manifolds.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and ASTM F876/F877 standards for PEX tubing. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before making any connections. Use only fittings and crimp or clamp tools rated for the nominal tubing size to ensure leak-free joints. Avoid kinking the tubing during installation; use bend supports or elbow guides where sharp direction changes are required.
