The UPONOR f1022000 is a 2-inch nominal, white AquaPEX cross-linked polyethylene tubing supplied in a 300-foot coil. With an inside diameter of 1.629 inches and an outside diameter of 2.125 inches, this tubing is engineered for hydronic heating systems and potable water distribution in residential and commercial construction. It carries a temperature rating of 73.4 to 200 degrees F and a working pressure range of 80 to 160 psi depending on operating temperature. Manufactured to ASTM F876 and F877 and CSA B137.5, it is certified to NSF Standards 14 and 61, confirming suitability for contact with potable water. The PEX 5106 designation exceeds ASTM F876 chlorine-resistance requirements for continuous-recirculation systems up to 140 degrees F.
This tubing is used in closed-loop hydronic heating systems, radiant floor installations, and large-diameter domestic water distribution where a 2-inch run is required. It is appropriate for hydronic applications where the system contains no ferrous corrodible components, or where any ferrous components are fully isolated from the tubing. The 300-foot coil length reduces field joints on long runs, making it efficient for commercial mechanical rooms, large residential installs, and underground service lines when properly sleeved. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors are the primary installers of this product size.
Suitable for hydronic heating applications where the system contains no ferrous corrodible components, or where ferrous components are fully isolated from the tubing. Compatible with standard PEX expansion and crimp fittings sized for 2-inch nominal tubing. Not intended for systems with direct ferrous metal contact without proper isolation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC or IPC requirements. Shut off and depressurize the system before cutting or connecting tubing. Use only fittings and tools rated and sized for 2-inch PEX to maintain pressure integrity at rated conditions. Limit UV exposure to the 30-day rated window; cover or protect tubing promptly after installation in exposed locations.
