The UPONOR 39133 is a 3/4-inch PEX-A expansion ring and sleeve designed for use with PEX-A tubing in ProPEX-style connections. These rings are expanded along with the tubing end using a compatible expansion tool, then slipped over the ProPEX fitting body. As the expanded ring and tubing contract to their original diameter, they create a strong, leak-resistant mechanical joint. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install these rings in both residential and light commercial hydronic and potable water systems. Each bag contains 25 rings, making it a practical quantity for ongoing service work or new construction rough-in.
These expansion rings are suited for 3/4-inch PEX-A tubing installations in potable water distribution, radiant heating, and hydronic piping applications. The ProPEX expansion method is widely used in residential new construction and remodel work where reliable, repeatable connections are required. Installation follows standard expansion-style PEX joining procedures compatible with ASTM F1960 fittings and tooling.
Designed for use with 3/4-inch PEX-A tubing and ProPEX-style expansion fittings following ASTM F1960 standards. No additional specific model compatibility was provided in the product data.
Installation requires a compatible PEX expansion tool sized for 3/4-inch tubing. Always follow the tubing and fitting manufacturer instructions for proper expansion depth and ring seating. Depressurize and drain the affected piping section before making repairs or modifications to an existing system. Work should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines.
