The UPONOR 20105A is a 0.5-inch CTS (Copper Tube Size) blue PEX-A tubing supplied in a 100-foot roll. PEX-A is produced using the Engel peroxide cross-linking method, which yields the highest cross-link density of any PEX type and gives the tubing superior flexibility and shape memory. The blue color coding identifies it as a cold-water supply line in standard plumbing convention. This tubing is designed for potable water distribution systems in residential and light commercial construction and remodel work, and is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters.
This tubing is suited for cold-water distribution runs in residential and light commercial applications. Its flexibility allows routing through wall cavities, floor assemblies, and other tight spaces with minimal fittings. The 100-foot roll length is practical for home-run manifold systems as well as branch-and-tee layouts. PEX-A material also resists freeze damage better than rigid pipe alternatives, making it a common choice in areas subject to freezing temperatures.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation tubing for 0.5-inch CTS cold-water distribution systems using PEX-A compatible fittings and connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system before making any connections. Use only fittings and connection tools rated for PEX-A tubing at the specified diameter. Avoid exposure to UV light during storage and after installation, as PEX tubing is not rated for direct sunlight exposure.
