The UNIWELD g1sd is a 2-inch, 400 PSI bottom-mount pressure gauge built for welding and compressed gas service. It is oxygen cleaned per ANSI B40.1, making it suitable for use with oxygen, fuel gases, and medical equipment that is non-corrosive to brass or bronze. The case is gold-painted steel with a one-piece polycarbonate lens for durability and clear reading. A 1/4-inch NPT stem connection provides a standard fit on most compressed gas regulators. Licensed welding technicians and gas equipment service professionals are the primary installers of this gauge.
This gauge is designed for use with compressed gas regulators in welding, cutting, and medical gas applications. Its oxygen-cleaned construction makes it appropriate wherever cleanliness standards are required before contact with oxygen service. The bottom-mount stem configuration suits panel-style and inline regulator installations where the connection enters from the base of the gauge. It is commonly used in both shop and field service environments handling high-pressure cylinder or line regulators.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement gauge for use with compressed gas regulators handling oxygen, fuel gases, and non-corrosive medical gases where a bottom-mount stem configuration is required.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welding equipment technician or gas system service professional. Shut off all gas supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any pressure gauge. Use appropriate thread sealant rated for oxygen service — never use standard pipe dope or PTFE tape that is not rated for oxygen compatibility, as contamination can create a fire or explosion hazard. Refer to applicable compressed gas safety standards and local codes before placing the gauge in service.
