The UNIWELD 49016 is a self-piercing R-134a auto recharge hose with an integrated can tap valve, designed for low-side service of automotive air conditioning systems. The assembly includes a T-handle for fingertip control of the piercing valve, a short blue service hose, and a low-side service coupler that connects directly to the vehicle low-side port. The UNIWELD 49016 is intended for use with R-134a refrigerant in automotive a/c systems. This hose assembly is installed by automotive technicians servicing vehicle a/c systems. Before connecting, ensure the vehicle engine is off or follow the system manufacturer service procedure for low-side access. Connect the low-side coupler to the vehicle low-side port before piercing the refrigerant can with the T-handle valve to prevent uncontrolled refrigerant release. Follow all applicable EPA Section 608 and Section 609 regulations when handling refrigerants.
