The UNIVIEW nsw2010-16t2gc-poe-in is a 16-port Power over Ethernet (PoE) network switch designed for structured cabling and IP device deployments. It delivers up to 250 watts of total PoE power budget across 16 x 10/100 Mbps access ports, allowing connected devices such as IP cameras, access control readers, and VoIP endpoints to draw power and data over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable run. Two dedicated uplink ports provide higher-speed connections to core or aggregation switches. Network technicians and low-voltage integrators are the primary installers of this switch in both new construction and retrofit applications.
This switch is suited for small to mid-size commercial or residential installations where centralized PoE power distribution is needed. Typical deployments include IP security camera systems, wireless access point networks, and access control installations. The 16-port access layer layout supports structured wiring closet or on-wall enclosure mounting. Its 250-watt power budget accommodates a mix of standard PoE and PoE+ devices without requiring a separate power injector at each drop.
Designed as an access-layer PoE switch compatible with standard IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at powered devices including IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones, and access control hardware.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage technician or licensed network integrator familiar with structured cabling standards. Power down the switch before making or removing network connections during servicing. Verify that the total wattage draw of all connected PoE devices does not exceed the 250-watt power budget before commissioning. Installations should comply with applicable local electrical codes and TIA-568 cabling standards.
