The UNIVIEW ipc6424sr-x25-vf-b is a 4-megapixel pan-tilt-zoom network camera built for demanding surveillance installations in commercial and industrial environments. It uses a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor to deliver 2688 x 1520 resolution at 30 frames per second. Compression support includes Ultra 265, H.265, H.264, and MJPEG, giving integrators flexibility in bandwidth and storage management. LightHunter technology maintains high image quality in low-light conditions without switching to black-and-white mode. A 25X optical zoom extends the field of view for wide-area monitoring. Licensed security integrators and commercial AV technicians are the primary installers of this unit.
This PTZ camera suits perimeter security, large parking areas, retail environments, and public spaces where wide-area coverage and zoom detail are both required. Smart intrusion prevention functions include cross-line detection, intrusion detection, enter-area detection, and leave-area detection, each with false alarm filtering built in. People counting and crowd density monitoring expand its use to retail analytics and venue management. The smart IR illuminator reaches distances up to 100 meters (328 feet), supporting nighttime operation without supplemental lighting. Face detection and best-snapshot auto-selection assist downstream analytics platforms.
Designed for integration with standard ONVIF-compatible network video recorders and video management systems that support Ultra 265, H.265, or H.264 streams. Power can be supplied via DC 12 volts or PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at)-capable switches and injectors.
Installation should be performed by a licensed security systems integrator or qualified low-voltage technician in accordance with applicable local electrical codes and the NEC. Power down the network switch port or disconnect the DC 12-volt supply before making wiring connections to the alarm I/O or audio I/O terminals. The camera must be mounted to a surface rated to support its load, and all outdoor cable entries should be sealed to maintain the IP67 ingress protection rating. Verify PoE+ budget on the switch port before connecting, as IEEE 802.3at requires a minimum port power budget of approximately 30 watts.
