The Universal Enterprises ATL58 is a set of silicone test leads designed for use with compatible digital multimeters and clamp meters in demanding field environments. These leads meet CAT III 600V and CAT II 1000V safety ratings, providing appropriate overvoltage protection for a range of electrical measurement tasks. The silicone construction makes the leads flexible in low-temperature conditions and resistant to heat, burning, chemicals, and solvents. The ABP3 screw-on tip design allows for secure connection to the meter probes. Licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trade professionals rely on properly rated test leads for safe voltage and continuity measurements.
The ATL58 leads are intended for use with the UEi DL589 and DL599 meters. Their silicone jacket holds up in environments where rubber or PVC leads may stiffen, crack, or degrade from exposure to refrigerants, solvents, or elevated ambient temperatures. This makes them well suited for both HVAC service work and general electrical troubleshooting in commercial and residential settings.
Compatible with the UEi DL589 and DL599 digital meters. The ABP3 screw-on tip interface is required for proper attachment.
Test leads should be inspected before each use for cuts, cracks, or exposed conductors and replaced if any damage is found. Always confirm that the lead CAT rating meets or exceeds the CAT rating of the circuit being measured before making contact. Power down circuits where safe to do so before connecting leads. Proper use and maintenance of test leads is governed by NFPA 70E safe work practices and applicable local codes.
