The UNITED PIPE STEEL 66884 is a Schedule 40 PVC rigid pipe measuring 2.5 inches in diameter and 20 feet in length, supplied in white. Schedule 40 PVC pipe is a standard-wall thermoplastic conduit widely used in pressurized and non-pressurized fluid systems. It is rated for cold and hot water distribution, drain-waste-vent (DWV) applications, and a range of industrial uses. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this pipe in both residential and light commercial settings where a reliable, corrosion-resistant piping solution is required.
This pipe is suited for potable water supply lines, irrigation systems, HVAC condensate drainage, and general-purpose plumbing rough-in work. The 2.5-inch nominal diameter and full 20-foot stick length make it well-suited for main distribution runs where fewer joints reduce leak risk. The white finish is standard for PVC plumbing pipe and is compatible with solvent-cement socket fittings sized for 2.5-inch Schedule 40 PVC.
Designed as a standard 2.5-inch Schedule 40 PVC rigid pipe, compatible with solvent-cement fittings and couplings manufactured to the same Schedule 40 dimensional standard for 2.5-inch nominal PVC pipe.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Cut pipe square using a PVC pipe cutter or fine-tooth saw, deburr cut ends, and apply appropriate PVC primer and solvent cement before joining to fittings. Support spacing should follow code-specified hanger intervals for the pipe diameter and application. Do not exceed the pressure and temperature ratings for Schedule 40 PVC, and avoid installation in systems carrying compressed air or gas.
