The UNICO upc-26tc-6 is a round, sound-attenuating flexible supply duct designed for use with the Unico high-velocity mini-duct HVAC system. Each length measures 12 feet with a 2-inch inside diameter and a 3.5-inch outside diameter. The inner core is constructed from spun-bound nylon, which reduces airborne noise as conditioned air travels from the air handler to the supply outlet. Insulation is rated at R3.3 and includes one vapor barrier layer made of two-ply reinforced reflective mylar. This mylar outer jacket limits radiant heat transfer, prevents moisture migration, and provides a vapor seal. A fiberglass blanket fills the void between the jacket and the inner core. Twist-Fit connectors are factory-installed on each end. This duct ships in a box of 6 individual 12-foot lengths.
The upc-26tc-6 is engineered specifically for Unico high-velocity systems, which are installed in residential and light-commercial applications where duct space is limited. The Unico system requires less than one-third of the space used by a conventional ducted system, making this flexible duct well suited for retrofit projects in existing homes, historic buildings, and any structure where full-size ductwork cannot be routed. Licensed HVAC technicians install this duct during new system builds or when replacing damaged supply duct runs in existing Unico installations. Both styles of Unico supply duct can be cut to the required length in the field.
Designed for use with the Unico high-velocity mini-duct HVAC system. Compatible with Unico system installations capable of delivering up to 9 tons of air conditioning capacity.
Installation of this flexible duct is performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Power down the air handler and verify the system is de-energized before connecting or disconnecting any duct sections. Twist-Fit connectors on each end should be fully engaged and secured to prevent air leakage at the joint. Do not compress or kink the duct during routing, as this reduces airflow and insulation performance.
