The UGL 27513 Drylok White Latex Masonry Waterproofer is a water-based coating designed to stop water infiltration through masonry surfaces. It resists hydrostatic pressure up to 10 psi, equivalent to a column of water over 22 feet high. The latex formula is alkali-resistant, low odor, and VOC/VOS compliant. It applies by brush or roller and covers approximately 75 to 125 square feet per gallon. Cleanup requires only soap and water. Licensed waterproofing contractors, masons, and experienced DIYers install this product on both interior and exterior masonry assemblies.
This waterproofer is formulated for use on above-grade and below-grade masonry walls, cinder block, concrete block, stucco, brick, retaining walls, basements, swimming pools, bird baths, fish ponds, and foundations. It may be applied to slightly damp surfaces below grade, though dry surfaces yield best results. Chalky efflorescence deposits must be removed by etching the surface before application.
Designed for use on masonry substrates including poured concrete, concrete block, cinder block, stucco, brick, and similar above-grade and below-grade surfaces where water infiltration control is required.
Surface preparation is critical — remove all efflorescence by acid etching before application, and ensure the surface is free of loose material, oils, and existing coatings that may prevent adhesion. Power down any sump or drainage equipment in the work area as needed before beginning below-grade applications. Apply with a masonry brush or roller in accordance with the manufacturer application instructions. Follow all applicable local building codes when waterproofing below-grade or occupied spaces.
