The UBIQUITI uwb-xg is a tri-radio WiFi 5 access point engineered for high-density wireless deployments in large venues and open outdoor environments. It operates on 5 GHz with 12 spatial streams and a phased array antenna system that supports software-adjustable coverage patterns of 50 or 90 degrees. Powered via PoE++, the unit delivers connectivity to 1,500 or more simultaneous devices across 5,000 or more square feet of open space. Licensed wireless network engineers and IT infrastructure professionals install this unit in stadiums, arenas, campuses, and similar high-demand environments.
The uwb-xg is designed for outdoor exposed installations where robust, high-capacity wireless coverage is required. Its weatherproof housing makes it suitable for permanent exterior mounting on walls or poles at large venues including sports facilities, outdoor event spaces, and campus common areas. The selectable beamforming antenna allows technicians to tune coverage shape to fit the specific geometry of the deployment area without swapping hardware. Connectivity is provided through one GbE uplink port and one 10 GbE uplink port, accommodating both standard and high-throughput network backbones.
Designed as a high-density outdoor WiFi 5 access point for large-venue wireless infrastructure deployments requiring PoE++ power delivery and 10 GbE uplink capability.
Installation should be performed by a qualified network engineer or licensed low-voltage technician familiar with outdoor structured cabling and PoE++ power budgets. Verify that the upstream switch or injector supplies sufficient PoE++ wattage before connecting. The unit supports both wall and pole mounting configurations — confirm mounting hardware and fastener compatibility with the surface prior to installation. Follow all applicable local low-voltage and telecommunications codes during cabling and enclosure work.
