The UBIQUITI usw-pro-max-24-poe is a 24-port Layer 3 managed gigabit switch with illuminated Etherlighting ports designed for structured network deployments managed through the UniFi platform. The switch provides 400W of total PoE availability across its port array, supporting both PoE+ and PoE++ output. Eight ports operate at 2.5 GbE with PoE++ output, eight ports deliver GbE with PoE++, and eight ports deliver GbE with PoE+. Two 10G SFP+ uplink ports handle high-throughput backbone connections. The unit also supports DC power backup input via a USP-RPS-compatible connection. Licensed HVAC techs, IT integrators, and low-voltage network professionals install this switch in commercial and residential structured cabling environments.
The usw-pro-max-24-poe is suited for network closet installations in commercial buildings, multi-dwelling units, and enterprise branch environments where high-density PoE delivery and per-port visual identification are required. The illuminated port indicators show port location, link speed, and native VLAN or network assignment, which simplifies cable tracing and port identification during moves, adds, and changes. Full management is handled through UniFi Network software version 8.0.24 or later. For maximum Etherlighting port brightness, pairing with UniFi Etherlighting Patch Cables is recommended by the manufacturer.

Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage network technician familiar with NEC Article 725 Class 2 wiring practices and structured cabling standards. Power down connected PoE devices before servicing or reseating cables to avoid unintended power interruption to active equipment. Verify that the total PoE load across connected devices does not exceed the 400W switch budget before deployment. Rack mounting hardware and cable management should be confirmed before placing the switch into service.
