The UBIQUITI usw-48-poe is a configurable Gigabit Layer 2 managed switch designed for enterprise and commercial network infrastructure. It ships with 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports total, including 32 auto-sensing 802.3at PoE+ ports and 16 standard GbE ports, plus 4 1G SFP uplink ports for fiber connectivity. A 1.3-inch touch LCM display provides at-a-glance status readout directly on the unit. The switch is managed and configured through the UniFi Network Controller software and supports the UniFi mobile app, giving network administrators full graphical control over switching protocols, port operation modes, and monitoring from any location.
This switch is suited for commercial, enterprise, and high-density professional installations where powered network endpoints such as access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones, and door controllers require reliable PoE+ delivery over standard RJ45 cabling. The 4 SFP ports allow fiber uplink integration into larger network backbones. Silent cooling makes the unit appropriate for noise-sensitive environments including offices, conference spaces, and AV installations. Network technicians and low-voltage integrators are the typical trades responsible for installation and configuration of this equipment.
Designed for use within the Ubiquiti UniFi ecosystem and requires the UniFi Network Controller for full managed functionality. Compatible with standard 802.3at PoE+ RJ45 Ethernet devices and standard SFP fiber modules.
Installation should be performed by a qualified network technician or low-voltage cabling professional. Power down connected devices before making or changing cabling connections at the switch. Rack mounting follows standard 19-inch rack practices and should comply with local building and low-voltage wiring codes. Configure the switch through the UniFi Network Controller before placing powered endpoints online to avoid unintended PoE delivery to unconfigured ports.
