The UBIQUITI uacc-cm-rj45-1g is a mini-GBIC SFP transceiver module designed to add a copper RJ45 port to SFP-capable network switches and routers. It supports Gigabit Ethernet (1GbE), 100Mb LAN, and 10Mb LAN operation, making it compatible with multi-speed network environments. This module slides into a standard SFP slot and terminates to a standard RJ45 connector, allowing installers to use existing Cat5e or Cat6 copper cabling instead of fiber. Network technicians and IT infrastructure professionals typically install this module during switch deployments, uplink expansions, or copper-to-SFP conversions.
The uacc-cm-rj45-1g is suited for use in structured cabling installations where fiber optic runs are not practical or available. It fits commercial and residential network environments alike. Typical use cases include connecting SFP-equipped managed switches to copper patch panels, aggregation switches, or upstream routers using standard Ethernet cabling. It operates at auto-negotiated speeds of 10Mb, 100Mb, or 1000Mb depending on the connected equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style SFP copper transceiver for use in standard SFP-slot network switches and routers that support 1GbE copper modules.
Installation is performed by qualified network technicians or low-voltage cabling professionals. Power down or administratively disable the SFP port before inserting or removing the module where the equipment allows. Seat the module firmly until the latch clicks before connecting the RJ45 cable. Follow local structured cabling standards and manufacturer guidelines for cable termination and port configuration.
