The TWECO 3040-1107 is an air-cooled automation MIG gun and cable assembly rated at 400 amps at 60% duty cycle. Designed for robotic and automated welding applications, this gun is field repairable and ships with TWECO rear connector plugs for straightforward integration into existing automation setups. The cable assembly uses the Cabelhoz construction: a tear-resistant, radiation cross-linked polymer outer jacket extruded over copper stranding, a hytrel center core tube for flexibility and structural support, and an inner core that serves as both the shielding gas carrier and the wire conduit support. Wire compatibility spans 0.035 to 0.045 inches. Cable length is 15 feet.
This gun is built for automated and robotic MIG welding environments where consistent, high-amperage performance and cable durability are critical. The field-repairable design reduces downtime during production runs, making it suitable for industrial fabrication shops, manufacturing lines, and other continuous-operation settings where the gun cannot easily be swapped out for factory service. The 400-amp rating supports demanding weld cycles at the 60% duty cycle threshold.
Ships standard with a 24CT-62S nozzle, 54A gas diffuser, and 14H series contact tip. Designed as an OEM-style automation MIG gun assembly for use with TWECO-compatible automated welding systems accepting rear connector plug configurations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welding technician or automation integrator familiar with robotic MIG welding systems. Power down and de-energize the welding system completely before connecting or disconnecting the gun and cable assembly. Verify that the rear connector plugs are fully seated and secured before returning the system to operation. Follow the equipment manufacturer guidelines and applicable facility safety procedures when integrating into an automated welding cell.
