The TWECO 3040-1106 is an air-cooled automation MIG gun and cable assembly rated at 400 amps at 60% duty cycle, designed for automated welding applications. The 12-foot cable assembly, known as the Cabelhoz, is built for durability and flexibility. The outer jacket is a tear-resistant, radiation cross-linked polymer extruded over copper stranding. The copper is spun around a Hytrel center core tube that supports the inner core, which serves as both a shielding gas carrier and a support structure for the wire conduit assembly. This gun is field repairable and comes furnished with TWECO rear connector plugs. Wire diameter compatibility spans 0.035 to 0.045 inches.
The 3040-1106 is suited for automated MIG welding installations in industrial and manufacturing environments where high-amperage, continuous-duty performance is required. The air-cooled design and robust cable construction make it appropriate for robotic or fixed-automation welding cells. The field-repairable design reduces downtime by allowing on-site cable and gun servicing without full assembly replacement. This assembly is intended for installation and service by qualified welding equipment technicians.
Compatible with wire diameters from 0.035 to 0.045 inches. Comes standard with a 24CT-62S nozzle, 54A gas diffuser, and 14H series contact tip. Designed for use in automation MIG welding systems as part of the TWECO TAM 400-amp series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welding equipment technician familiar with automated MIG gun assemblies. Disconnect and lock out all power to the welding system before connecting or disconnecting the gun and cable assembly. Verify that the rear connector plug is fully seated and secure before resuming operation. Follow applicable welding equipment safety standards and the equipment manufacturer's guidelines during installation.
