The TWECO 1540-1137 is a brass gas diffuser designed for use with slip-on style nozzle assemblies on 450 A MIG gun series and Eliminator front-end consumable systems. Machined from 360 brass alloy bar stock, it delivers consistent dimensional stability and reliable electrical conductivity in medium to heavy-duty welding applications rated up to 450 A. The diffuser measures 2.043 inches in length with a 9/16 inch-18 UNC-2A thread size and features six 0.094 inch gas holes for uniform shielding gas distribution. A silicone o-ring seals the diffuser against the nozzle assembly, and a metal flat spring on the OD retains the nozzle during the welding process. Licensed welders and MIG gun technicians install this component as a standard consumable replacement.
This gas diffuser is suited for medium to heavy-duty MIG welding environments where consistent gas coverage and electrical performance are required. It is compatible with 1/16 inch wire conduit liners and properly threaded conductor tubes used in 450 A MIG gun setups. The Eliminator front-end consumable configuration makes it a practical replacement in production welding, fabrication shops, and heavy industrial applications. The part number is rolled-stamped on the external surface for quick identification during consumable changeovers. Sold in a pack of five units.
Designed for use with slip-on style nozzle assemblies on 450 A MIG gun series and Eliminator front-end consumables. Compatible with 1/16 inch wire conduit liners and threaded conductor tubes used in that gun configuration.
Installation is performed by a qualified welder or MIG gun technician. Always power down the welding machine and allow the gun to cool before replacing consumables. Thread the diffuser onto the conductor tube using the 9/16 inch-18 UNC-2A thread engagement and verify the o-ring is properly seated before attaching the nozzle assembly. Do not over-tighten, as this may damage the brass threads or deform the o-ring seat.
