The TWECO 1440-1142 is a steel wound conduit liner designed for use with steel welding wire in MIG welding applications. At 15 feet in length and rated for 300 to 450 amps, this liner provides consistent wire feed performance across demanding welding cycles. The steel wound construction maintains liner shape and resists kinking, which is critical for smooth wire travel through the gun cable. Welding technicians and fabricators rely on properly matched liners to reduce birdnesting, minimize wire feed resistance, and extend contact tip life. This liner is sold individually and weighs 1.15 pounds.
This liner is suited for heavy-duty MIG welding setups where steel wire is the primary consumable. It is built for use with TWECO R44 and R45 series liners as well as PULSEMASTER and PullMaster MIG guns. Typical applications include structural fabrication, manufacturing, and industrial MIG welding where higher amperage output and longer gun cables are required. It fits environments where consistent wire feed over a full-length cable run is essential to weld quality and operator efficiency.
Designed for use with TWECO R44 and R45 series liners as well as PULSEMASTER and PullMaster MIG guns. Intended for use with steel welding wire.
Liner replacement should be performed by a qualified welding technician with the welding machine powered down and the gun cable fully extended to allow proper liner seating. Trim the liner to the correct length per the gun manufacturer's specification before securing end fittings. Avoid forcing or kinking the liner during installation, as damage to the steel coil winding can cause wire feed irregularities. Inspect the liner periodically for debris buildup, which reduces feed efficiency and increases drive roll wear.
