The TWECO 1400-1031 is a Teflon conduit liner engineered for MIG welding applications that use aluminum welding wire. Aluminum wire is soft and prone to birdnesting inside standard steel liners, so this liner uses a Teflon construction to reduce friction and deliver smooth, consistent wire feed throughout the weld. The liner is rated for use at up to 160 amps and fits a 10-foot gun reach. A brass alloy machined stop is installed on the back end for secure, repeatable seating in the gun body. The part number is rolled and stamped directly on the brass stop for fast identification during changeouts.
This liner is designed for use with Mini-MIG guns, including the 35TF series as well as PULSEMASTER and PullMaster MIG gun platforms. It accommodates wire diameters from 0.030 to 0.035 inches, covering the most common aluminum wire sizes used in light industrial and fabrication environments. Typical applications include aluminum structural welding, sheet metal fabrication, and repair work where a smooth wire feed path is critical to weld quality and arc stability.
Designed for use with TWECO Mini-MIG guns, including the 35TF series, PULSEMASTER, and PullMaster MIG gun platforms. Fits wire diameters of 0.030 to 0.035 inches.
Liner installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified welding technician with the welder powered down and the wire feed unit disabled before beginning work. Remove the existing liner carefully to avoid damaging the gun neck or contact tip threads. Insert the new liner fully until the brass stop seats flush against the gun back end, then trim the front end to the appropriate length before installing the contact tip. Follow the gun manufacturer's service instructions and applicable AWS safety guidelines throughout the procedure.
