The TWECO 1260-1658 is a copper alloy MIG welding nozzle from the Eliminator EL24CT series, designed for use with standard EL gas diffusers in medium to heavy duty welding applications rated up to 200 amps. The nozzle features a 3/4 inch bore and a 3-piece construction consisting of a nozzle housing cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, a brass nozzle insert with machined internal threads, and a G7 silicone nozzle insulator. The part number is rolled and stamped on the external surface for quick field identification. Sold in a pack of 2, this nozzle is a direct-threading replacement for standard EL series gas diffusers used by professional welders and MIG technicians.
The 1260-1658 is suited for medium to heavy duty MIG welding operations up to 200 amps. The recessed contact tip relationship, measuring 0.125 to 0.156 inches, makes it appropriate for higher heat applications requiring longer electrical stick-out, as well as tack, spot, and stitch welding where the nozzle may contact the work piece. Its copper alloy construction supports efficient heat dissipation during sustained welding cycles, and the silicone insulator provides reliable electrical isolation from the gas diffuser throughout operation.
Designed to thread onto standard Tweco Eliminator EL series gas diffusers for MIG welding guns rated up to 200 amps.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welding technician with the welding machine powered down and the gun cool before handling front-end consumables. Thread the nozzle onto the EL gas diffuser by hand until seated — do not overtighten, as this can damage the nozzle insert threads or insulator. Inspect the insulator and housing for wear or spatter buildup at each consumable change interval.
