The TWECO 1260-1652 is a coarse-threaded copper MIG welding nozzle designed for use with standard EL gas diffusers. It features a 5/8-inch (0.625-inch) bore and an overall length of 3.25 inches with a 0.875-inch outside diameter. Rated for medium to heavy-duty welding applications up to 450 amps, this nozzle is built from a 3-piece construction: a housing cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, an insert machined from solid brass, and an insulator constructed from G7 silicone material. The part number is roll-stamped on the exterior surface for fast identification in the field. Sold as a pack of 2.
This nozzle threads directly onto a standard EL gas diffuser and is suited for medium to heavy-duty MIG welding environments including fabrication shops, structural steel work, and pipe welding. The recessed contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches makes it well-suited for higher heat applications where longer electrical stick-out is required, as well as tack, spot, and stitch welding scenarios where the nozzle may contact the work piece. Licensed welders and professional fabricators working with wire-feed MIG equipment will find this a direct-fit consumable replacement.
Designed to thread onto standard EL gas diffusers. Compatible with medium to heavy-duty MIG welding torches requiring a 5/8-inch bore coarse-threaded nozzle rated up to 450 amps.
Installation is performed by a qualified welder or MIG torch technician. Always power down and disconnect the welding machine before replacing nozzle consumables. Hand-thread the nozzle onto the EL gas diffuser until snug — do not use tools that could damage the threads or insulator. Inspect the G7 silicone insulator for cracking or spatter buildup during each nozzle change to maintain proper electrical isolation.
