The TWECO 1260-1637 is a brass MIG welding nozzle designed for use with standard EL gas diffusers in light to medium duty welding applications rated up to 250 amps. It features a 5/8 inch (0.625 inch) bore and an overall length of 3.018 inches with a 0.875 inch outer diameter. The nozzle uses a flush contact tip relationship with a 0.062 inch offset. Its three-piece construction eliminates the need for a separate insulator and uses 122 DHP copper alloy tubing for the housing, solid brass for the machined insert, and a G7 silicone insulator for electrical isolation from the gas diffuser. Sold in a pack of 2.
This nozzle is suited for light to medium duty MIG welding environments where amperage does not exceed 250A. The flush tip configuration is appropriate for applications requiring shorter electrical stick-out and tighter arc lengths, bringing the contact tip closer to the work piece. Installation is performed by welding technicians as part of routine front-end consumable replacement. Power down and de-energize the welding system before replacing nozzle components. Thread the nozzle onto the EL gas diffuser by hand until snug — do not overtighten, as the brass insert and silicone insulator can be damaged by excessive force. Inspect the nozzle insulator and insert for spatter buildup or wear at each consumable change interval.
