The TWECO 1260-1636 is a brass MIG welding nozzle designed for use with standard EL gas diffusers in light to medium duty MIG welding applications. Rated up to 250 amps, this flush-tip nozzle features a 1/2 inch bore and a 0.062 inch flush contact tip relationship, making it well suited for shorter arc lengths and applications where the tip works close to the workpiece. The 3-piece construction includes a nozzle housing cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, a nozzle insert machined from solid brass with internal threads matched to the gas diffuser, and a nozzle insulator constructed from G7 silicone material. Sold as 2 per pack. The part number is rolled and stamped on the exterior surface for fast field identification.
This nozzle is intended for light to medium duty MIG welding, typically in shop fabrication, maintenance welding, and general metalwork up to 250 amps. The flush tip configuration is best suited for applications requiring shorter electrical stick-out, tighter arc lengths, or close-contact work. The threaded insert is designed to mate directly with a standard EL gas diffuser, making it a straightforward replacement in existing torch setups. Typical installers are welding technicians and fabricators working with compatible MIG torch assemblies.
Designed to thread onto standard EL gas diffusers. Compatible with light to medium duty MIG torch assemblies requiring a 1/2 inch bore flush nozzle rated up to 250 amps.
Installation is performed by a qualified welder or welding equipment technician. Always power down the welder and disconnect the torch from the power source before replacing front-end consumables. Thread the nozzle onto the EL gas diffuser by hand until snug — do not overtighten, as this can damage the insulator or thread engagement. Inspect the nozzle insert threads and gas diffuser threads for spatter buildup before installation.
