The TWECO 1260-1627 is a coarse-threaded MIG welding nozzle designed for use with standard EL gas diffusers in light to medium duty welding applications rated up to 250 amps. It features a 3-piece construction consisting of a nozzle housing cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, a nozzle insert machined from solid brass, and a nozzle insulator constructed from G7 silicone material. The bore measures 0.625 inches with an outer diameter of 0.875 inches and an overall length of 3.183 inches. The part number is roll-stamped on the external surface for quick field identification. Sold as a pack of 2.
This nozzle is suited for light to medium duty MIG welding operations requiring reliable electrical insulation between the nozzle and gas diffuser. The recessed contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches makes it a practical choice for higher heat applications, tack welding, spot welding, and stitch welding where the nozzle may contact the workpiece. The thread-on design mates directly with standard EL series gas diffusers, making it a straightforward drop-in replacement in compatible MIG gun setups. Professional welders and fabrication shops performing work up to 250 A will find this nozzle fits established torch configurations without modification.
Designed to thread onto standard EL series gas diffusers. Compatible with light to medium duty MIG welding guns rated up to 250 amps.
Installation is performed by qualified welders or MIG gun technicians. Always power down the welding machine and allow the torch to cool completely before servicing front-end consumables. Thread the nozzle onto the EL gas diffuser by hand until snug, taking care not to cross-thread the brass insert. Inspect the nozzle insulator for cracking or spatter buildup regularly, as insulator damage can cause unwanted arcing to the gas diffuser.
