The TWECO 1260-1618 is a brass and copper alloy MIG welding nozzle designed for use with the standard EL-series gas diffuser. Built in a 3-piece configuration, the nozzle combines a housing cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, a solid brass insert machined and crimped in place, and a G7 silicone nozzle insulator. The flush contact tip relationship measures 0.062 inches. Rated for heavy-duty welding applications up to 250 amps, this nozzle protects gun life and weld quality by delivering consistent shielding gas coverage. The part number is rolled and stamped on the exterior surface for fast field identification. Sold as a pack of 2.
This nozzle is suited for heavy-duty MIG welding applications in industrial and fabrication environments where consistent gas coverage and electrical insulation are critical. The 5/8-inch bore accommodates standard shielding gas flow rates for applications running up to 250 amps. The crimped nozzle insert allows the nozzle to slide over the metal spring integrated into the EL-series gas diffuser. The G7 silicone insulator provides the electrical isolation required between the nozzle and diffuser without the need for a separate add-on insulator.
Designed for use with the standard EL-series gas diffuser, including the EL24I configuration. Threads engage directly onto the standard EL gas diffuser without requiring an additional insulator component.
Installation is performed by qualified welding equipment technicians or experienced welders. Disconnect and power down the welding system before servicing the gun nozzle. Slide the nozzle over the gas diffuser spring until fully seated, and confirm the insulator is properly positioned before resuming operation. Inspect the nozzle and insulator for wear or spatter buildup regularly to maintain weld quality and prevent electrical shorting.
