The TWECO 1260-1612 is a brass MIG welding nozzle designed for use with the standard EL gas diffuser on TWECO-style MIG guns. The nozzle features a 1/2 inch bore, an overall length of 3.018 inches, and a 0.875 inch outer diameter. Rated for welding applications up to 250 amps, it uses a 3-piece construction: a nozzle housing cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, a nozzle insert machined from solid brass, and a nozzle insulator constructed from G7 silicone material. The part number is roll-stamped on the exterior surface for quick identification in the field. Sold as 2 per pack.
This nozzle is suited for light to medium duty MIG welding applications up to 250A. The flush contact tip relationship measures 0.062 inches. The threaded design interfaces with the standard EL gas diffuser, and the crimped nozzle insert allows the assembly to slide over the metal spring that is part of the gas diffuser. The silicone insulator provides the electrical isolation required between the nozzle and the gas diffuser without the need for a separate insulator component. Typical users include welding professionals and maintenance welders working with TWECO EL-series MIG gun setups in fabrication and industrial environments.
Designed for use with the TWECO standard EL gas diffuser, compatible with EL22I-style MIG gun configurations rated up to 250A.
Installation is performed by welding technicians during MIG gun maintenance or consumable replacement. Always power down and disconnect the welding machine before servicing the gun or replacing nozzle components. Ensure the gas diffuser spring is fully seated before sliding the nozzle into position. Inspect the silicone insulator for heat damage or cracking at each consumable change interval.
