The TWECO 1260-1603 is a self-insulated slip-on copper MIG welding nozzle designed for use with standard EL-series gas diffusers. It features a 5/8-inch (0.625-inch) bore and an overall length of 3.138 inches with a 0.875-inch outside diameter. Rated for welding applications up to 250 amps, it uses a 3-piece construction that eliminates the need for a separate insulator. The nozzle housing is cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, the insert is machined from solid brass and crimped in place, and the insulator is constructed from G7 silicone material. The part number is roll-stamped on the exterior surface for quick field identification. Sold in a pack of 2.
This nozzle is suited for light to medium duty MIG welding applications up to 250 amps. The recessed contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches makes it appropriate for higher heat applications, situations requiring longer electrical stick-out, and tack, spot, or stitch welding where the nozzle may contact the workpiece. It threads onto the standard EL-series gas diffuser and slides over the metal spring that is integral to the diffuser assembly. Typical install environments include fabrication shops, structural work, and maintenance welding operations.
Designed for use with standard EL-series gas diffusers. Threads onto standard EL gas diffuser and slides over the integral metal spring as part of the diffuser assembly. Verify gas diffuser series and bore size before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified welding technicians or MIG welding equipment service personnel. Disconnect and de-energize the welding machine before servicing front-end consumables. Slide the nozzle over the gas diffuser spring until fully seated and confirm the insulator is properly positioned to maintain electrical isolation. Inspect the nozzle insert seating and insulator condition at each consumable change interval.
