The TWECO 1260-1602 is a copper alloy MIG welding nozzle designed for use with the standard EL-series gas diffuser. It features a 1/2 inch bore and measures 3.138 inches in length with a 0.875 inch outer diameter. Rated for light to medium duty welding applications up to 250 amps, this nozzle uses a 3-piece construction consisting of a 122 DHP copper alloy housing, a solid brass machined insert, and a G7 silicone insulator. No additional insulator is required. The part number is rolled and stamped on the exterior surface for quick field identification. Sold in a pack of 2.
This nozzle is suited for light to medium duty MIG welding scenarios where arc current does not exceed 250 amps. The recessed contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches makes it appropriate for higher heat applications, tack welding, spot welding, and stitch welding where the nozzle may contact the workpiece. The nozzle insert is crimped in place, allowing it to slide over the metal spring integral to the standard EL gas diffuser. It is threaded to fit the standard EL gas diffuser series. Welders working in fabrication, maintenance, and repair applications will find this a direct-fit consumable for compatible TWECO setups.

Installation is performed by the welding operator or MIG welder technician servicing the torch front end. Power down and de-energize the welding machine before replacing any consumables. Ensure the gas diffuser spring is intact before sliding the nozzle insert into place. Do not overtighten or force the nozzle onto the diffuser, as this may damage the silicone insulator or crimp joint.
